Meet The Trainer
I have been lucky enough to turn a lifelong passion for dogs into a business dedicated to improving the canine, human relationship through innovative training techniques.
My methods are based on over 15 years of actual hands on training, not just class room theory. Here a Dewberry Family K9 we treat every dog as an individual and cater our training to meet the needs of the dog and the family.
I attended my first dog training class in 1991 with my Boxer Amber and was hooked. The class was taught by Mary Jo Gentile of Cincinnati Canine Companion centers. Mary would become my obedience training mentor. After several years of working and learning with several established training facility. Dewberry Family K9 was born in 1997 with the focus on Functional Family Obedience.
The passion for all things dog lead me to the dog sport world where I have become an active competitor and trainer in several dog sports like Schutzhund and PSA.

Since childhood dogs have been a major part of my life. Through hard work and dedication I have made a life long dream a reality. Training dogs is not only my favorite pass-time, it has also become my full-time job. I have trained under the mentorship of several world class trainers and through continuing education I have developed a comprehensive system of training and evaluation of dogs that insures your K-9 companion reaches their maximum potiential.
